Unanswered: convert Oracle database to SQL server database and vise versa

    Hi all,

I want to convert Oracle database 8i / 9i to SQL server 2000 and vise versa.

I don't know if there is any tool to do that automatically or not.
If yes, please tell me that tool
If no, please advice me what should I do.

    thanks in advanced

    convert?

    convert what? your tables?
You're obsessed and distressed 'cuz you can't make any sense
Of the ludicrous nonsense and incipient senescence
That will deem your common sense useless

Do you want to access each others tables? Do you actually want to convert the databases? What are you trying to do?

What is he trying to do? Obviously he is trying to fill his day-planner for the next 10 years.

    Ain't gonna happen.

If you are simply looking to convert table structure and data look into DTS in MS SQL server itself. If you are looking to convert all database objects, search the web ^.^

It isn't that hard. I've actually written a small VB app to handle this. Convert from SQL Server to Oracle. I'm happy to get you started if needed.
