    Unanswered: SQL0902C A system error occurred.

    Hi all,

    Iam using DB2 UDB 8 with fixpack 4 and solaris and when iam trying to connect to database iam getting the following error,

    SQL0902C A system error (reason code = "") occurred. Subsequent SQL
    statements cannot be processed. SQLSTATE=58005

    The following is the diaglog.log,

    do you have intra_parallelism set to yes or extshm is set to on?

    or this might happen when an application is running Concurrent Transactions ..means application is connecting to multiple databases at a time or trying for different connections to same database.

    Thanks chavadb2 , yes its been set to yes...and also if i list applications also its giving the same error......can u please help me in this matter.

    Make sure that Solaris kernel parameters are set to the proper values. "Quick Beginnings" lists the procedure. In short, you should run db2osconf and compare its recommendations with the values in /etc/system.

    i have run db2osconf utility it gave me 2 updates msginfo_msgmni and shminfo_shmmni .If i change these parameters will help me in resolving the problem....thanks in advance.
