Unanswered: Refering to a Closed Report

    Hello,

I am trying to iterate through the controls on a report which is NOT open. Can someone tell me how to refer to a report which is not open?

    Thanks,

To refer to a report that is not open in Access 2000 use:

    Application.CurrentProject.AllReports("ReportName" )

But I don't think you will be able to loop through the controls without opening it.

    Report

You can also open it and set Report!ReportX.visible = false. Don't know if that helps.

pkstormy's solution is the way to go if you're actually wanting to perform some action on the controls. My understanding is that a report and its controls are not even in memory until they are opened - so no actions/methods can be performed on the controls contained in that form.

Someone please correct me as I'm wrong - since the ability to change an unloaded control would allow me to build much more efficient applications.
