    Unanswered: PHP vs ASP.NET

    Hi,

Hope this is posted in the right part of the forum, wasnt sure where to put it.

Im currently writing a comparison report on PHP and ASP.NET. I am highlighting the pros and cons of each from a programming perspective.

I was just wondering what everyones views are on this matter?

    Regards

I currently perfer PHP - it can be used everywhere (almost), and I find it easier to program.

Also the new features for OO in php5 are a big improvement.

Preformance wise, its slower than asp.net - mainly as its not compiled, but interpreted. Though, you can purchase the zend stuff to compile php - its not free though (cheaper than a IIS / Windows server licence though )
