Question Unanswered: Oracle 10g server shuts down at a particular time! Please help

    Hi guys

My firm is a facing a serious issue with our latest 10g database server. The Oracle instance goes down everyday by 11.56 am in the morning, and then it restarts automatic within next few minutes.
As far for our best knowledge we haven't altered any parameters or scheduled anything so that the database should go down during this time!

We are using Windows 2003 Server standard edition, and the alert viewer shows the following message
"EMNO background process started..." with the above time stamp.

Any advices will be highly appreciated.
    regards

    1) Remove the clock from the room where the server resides so Oracle won't know when it is 11:56

    2) Announce that lunch break is from 11:45 to 12:15 & the DB will be on break then also.

    3) Hire somebody who knows Windows & Oracle to learn why this is happening.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.

    Thanks for that advice anacedent!

Anyway we rectified the problem. "em" was configured to run a scheduled backup by 12 afternoon it was causing the service shutdown.

    Thanks for the "advice"
