Unanswered: Urgent: VNI-2027 : Intelligent Agent executible does not have root access

    Hi,

I am using Sun solaris oracle server.

When I use OEM for importing data I get this error.

VNI-2027 : Intelligent Agent executible does not have root access

I have given root access to agentctl.exe on $ORACLE_HOME/bin/agentctl.exe

But still I keep getting this error.

    Any solutions?

    Hi
    I found this from Metalink

    Code:
    Doc ID: Note:201258.1
Subject: Intelligent Agent Executable Does not Have Root Access though Setuid Bits Are Correct
    Type: PROBLEM
    Status: PUBLISHED

    fact: Oracle Intelligent Agent
    fact: Solaris Operating System (SPARC)
    symptom: All jobs fail
symptom: VNI-2027 : Intelligent Agent executable does not have root access.
symptom: dbsnmp executable is owned by root
symptom: Setuid bits are set on dbsnmp executable
cause: The file system containing the Oracle software is mounted with the &
    quot;nosuid" option

    fix:

Delete the "nosuid" option from the /etc/vfstab file for that file
system which contains the Oracle software.

For example the /etc/vfstab file looks like this:
    /dev/dsk/c0t3d0s1 - - swap - no -
    /dev/dsk/c0t3d0s0 /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s0 / ufs 1 no remount,nosuid
    /dev/dsk/c0t3d0s4 /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s4 /usr ufs 1 no ro
    /dev/dsk/c0t3d0s5 /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s5 /var ufs 1 no nosuid

The "nosuid" options should be removed.

    Explanation:
The "nosuid" option in /etc/vfstab prevents the execution of setuid
    programs.
