Subject: Intelligent Agent Executable Does not Have Root Access though Setuid Bits Are Correct

symptom: VNI-2027 : Intelligent Agent executable does not have root access.
symptom: dbsnmp executable is owned by root
symptom: Setuid bits are set on dbsnmp executable
cause: The file system containing the Oracle software is mounted with the &
Delete the "nosuid" option from the /etc/vfstab file for that file
system which contains the Oracle software.
For example the /etc/vfstab file looks like this:
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s1 - - swap - no -
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s0 /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s0 / ufs 1 no remount,nosuid
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s4 /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s4 /usr ufs 1 no ro
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s5 /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s5 /var ufs 1 no nosuid
The "nosuid" options should be removed.
The "nosuid" option in /etc/vfstab prevents the execution of setuid
