Arrow Unanswered: How to delete a db with dbca

    Hello,

After creation of a database, I changed some things(tnsnames.ora, removed data from file, removed template(dbt)). With dbca I still see the database. In the help it says the ORACLE_SID is incorrect. How can I make sure, I don't see the database in dbca anymore. By the way, the database was a testdatabase after installation of an oracle 9i server.

    beforehand thanx

    On Unix:
Look inside your oratab file (/var/opt/oracle/oratab or /etc/oratab) and delete the line concerning your Oracle-SID.

    On Windows:
Use the oradim utility (oradim -delete -sid Oracle-SID)
Caution, Database will not work anymore!
