    Talking Unanswered: Filtering before import

Hi guys just wondering is it possible to filter out the unwanted before importing into Acess. I have this excel database with a field category consist of (example) A, A, B, A, C, A,B. So basically i only want to import those rows with the A into access only. So is it possible or do i need to import everything in access and then do a queries for it?....

The easiest thing would probalby be to save a copy of the Excel database, sort it in Excel and just delete the stuff you don't want and then import it into Access.

You can also link to the Excel spreadsheet, instead of importing it. The use a query to filter the linked spreadsheet to import only the records you want.
