    Unanswered: Db2 Migration from AIX to OS/390

    Any one help me on how to migrate DB2 from AIX to Os390. If any documnet please privide me.

    Not to scare you off but
    before you move the data you better do a physical database design.
    Things like table spaces, index spaces differ in MVS from AIX:
    You can have partitioned, segmented, normal tablespaces, or index tablespaces.
    Also unique to MVS is that you can define primary and secondary space allocations,
    usually in cylinders (720K) or tracks (48K)

    It is a bit of a works in terms of physical design as anton says ..

    Another area you'll have to look at is the SQLs in the application and usage of features like SEQUENCE(which is new in V8 zOS), Stored Procedures etc.

    For the forum to give inputs, you may have to tell about the versions of db2 you intend to use
