    Unanswered: Database Health Snapshot

    Hi,

I have taken database health snapshot and i got the following output,

    Database Health Snapshot

    Snapshot timestamp = 02-15-2005 09:51:20.106459

    Database name = training
    Database path = /db2/db2inst1/db2inst1/NODE0000/SQL00003/
    Input database alias = training
Operating system running at database server= SUN
Location of the database = Local
Database highest severity alert state = Unknown

    Health Indicators:

    Not yet evaluated

Can anybody tell why iam getting the database highest severity alert state as unknown and Health indicators as not yet evaluated.............

    Thanks in advance.....

Is monitoring turned on? No Monitor means no snapshot data means no health data.

    db2 get dbm cfg

will show you the status of monitor switches. To set them on:

db2 update dbm cfg using DFT_MON_BUFPOOL ON
    etc
    etc

    Hi All,
I have the same problem but my dbm cfg HEALTH_MON is ON. Can anyone advise on this? Thanks.
    $ db2 get dbm cfg | grep -i health
Monitor health of instance and databases (HEALTH_MON) = ON

$ db2 get health snapshot for dbm

    Database Manager Health Snapshot

Node type = Enterprise Server Edition with local and remote clients
    Instance name = ah_01
    Snapshot timestamp = 02-28-2006 12:09:42.628509

Number of database partitions in DB2 instance = 1
    Start Database Manager timestamp = 01-22-2006 15:31:13.343721
Instance highest severity alert state = Not yet evaluated

    Health Indicators:

    Not yet evaluated
