    Unanswered: Character problem

    I'm having a problem when users put a carriage return within a memo field.

    It's causing problems as I join several memo fields together.

    I'd like to know if it's possible to strip out the character for carriage return, from within a query. There are a few issues behind it as I believe it shouldnt be happening but as it's a work issue I need to fix it ASAP.
    I think it is chr(13) but I'm not 100% on that.

    you could use something like this
    it handles chr(10) and chr(13)

    Code:
    SELECT Replace(Replace([ErrorHandler],Chr$(13),", "),Chr$(10),", " ) as expr
    FROM tblEventLog;
    hth

    Thats interesting, I've always used double quotes "". so the a single qoute works in a select statement?

    SELECT Replace(Replace([ErrorHandler],Chr$(13),", "),Chr$(10),", " ) as expr
