    Unanswered: UDB limit tablespace access

It possible on UDB (DB2 v8.2 on RHEL) to stop users other than dba/sysadm from changing data whilst I export all tables in a particular schema? This is so that I can be sure the data exported is a consistent set. I guess I'm after something like tablespace UT mode on the mainframe.

    Thanks

hmm ... I don't think there is a UT mode at the tablespace level on Unix .. You can do at a database level or at the table level ...
Refer the documenmtation for QUIESCE DATABASE or QUIESCE TABLESPACES FOR TABLE

I would generally use 'LOCK TABLES' before exporting or use an RR Isolation level when doing export
