Wink Unanswered: UDB Shared Memory Problems

    Hey guys

I have a system with following config
    P690 , AIX5.1 , UDB 7.2 EEE running on 20 nodes.
The machine has 128GB of memory.
Iam experiencing 100% memory usage. This box is exclusively used for Database. Also when i look at the shared memory segments, it is actually allocating 1.3TB of shared memory.
I just understand how UDB can have 1.3TB of shared memory on a box with 128TB of memory. Anybody has any clues.
    All ideas are welcome

    Thanks a head
    Prasad

Can you tell me how you came to conclusion that 1.3TB assigned?

    Koganti,

how did you look into the shared memory segment?
How did you find that it is allocating 1.2TB for SharedMemory.
    thanks

    ipcs -mb

will provide all the shared memory segments allocated on machine.
It provides the size of each segment allocated for each user.
I have seen around 5000 shared memory segments of 220MB of each for my instance.
