Unanswered: Where do i get 9.2.0.4? (windows)

    Hi,

    Went here:

    http://www.oracle.com/technology/sof...e9i/index.html

however, it only offers 9.2.0.1 for windows.

I know this is probably easy, but I can't seem to find 9.2.0.4 (for windows.....only linux).

Can someone give me a pointer?

    thanks,
    david.

Yes, these are the complete CD sets.
You have to upgrade the 9.2.0.1 version to the desired patchlevel.
Download the patchset at metalink.oracle.com (login required) and upgrade to 9.2.0.4.

    9.2.0.2 - 9.2.0.6 are patch releases.
You need the base release 9.2.0.1 and apply the patches from http://metalink.oracle.com.
To receive patches you must be a registered customer.

I would be careful with 9.2.0.4 ... Look at Metalink .. you will find that
there were (and I have seem them) some significant performance bugs.
To overcome them, I had to take the compatibility parameter back to 8.1.7

9.2.0.5 is more stable and the optimizer performs more like what I would
expect. 9.2.0.6 looks pretty good at the moment. I will not take another
client to 9.2.0.4 ... I'm only installing (or upgrading) to 9.2.0.6 at the
    moment...
