Can a trigger listen to table residing on a different schema? If yes, what are the various privileges required?

A trigger is an object associated with the table ... There are also triggers
that are associated with NON table events (users, database startup/shutdown etc...) What are you trying to accomplish ???

    Thanks Graham for the specifics.

I want to know whether a trigger can listen to DML events on a table in different schema. (not non-table events).

You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
