My client has a position available that will start in about 3 weeks. They are looking for someone who has worked as part of a team in developing data warehouse information with SQL server 2000 tools. Candidates should have previous experience in data warehouse concepts / design, ASP, ASP.NET, T-SQL, MS Access experience, and Active Data reporting tool. Candidates that have experience / perspective in budget, financial, personnel applications would be helpful. The position will work – on-site in Richmond, VA on 2 projects with other staff to pull together case tracking, personnel, budget information from existing data application sources in multiple environments. Create a data warehouse of detail information points. Link the warehouse to an existing application resident in an ASP / SQL environment. Drill down on displayed items to create a series of detailed or summary information based on prompted input variables.

This is contract to hire so candidates must be US Cit/GC holder and be in the VA area with availability for a in person interview. The focus of this position will primarily be on the backend development. Primarily SQL Development working with financial revenues system. The candidates will be expected to get the backend straight with the system. The .NET on the front-end will prob. only be 15% of the job the other with be the SQL backend dev.Candidates will a strong SQL/SQL Server background with out the .NET will be considered. Candidates with experience in Windows application and SQL Server developer who has experience working with C# or VB.Net, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, SQL (including coding of complex stored procedures), HTML, and XML. Also required is a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with three to five years of programming experience (or an equivalent combination of education and programming experience). Experience using OO techniques in development (OOA, OOD, or OOP). Additional preferred skills would include a working knowledge of at least some of the following: VB6, COM+, MSMQ, and JavaScript.
