Post Unanswered: Combo Box - Code to move down 1

    Hey guys,

I have a question regarding a code that I need within my Access database (I've already posted within Access forum but thought you may be able to help)

I have a combo box and all I want is a code that will say move down one row or record in the box.

    Can anyone help?

combobox listindex starts from 0 increment it you can go to any of the item in the combo list

combobox.listindex = 1 moves to the second item. you can substitute 1 for variable too.

Hi thanks for this. I think I can see what you mean, although I am having difficulty getting this to work.

So far all I can do is return the index of the selected value. It won't allow me to say that set listindex to 1

That's probably because you are not thinking in "2 controls combined" mode.

A combo box has a text property AND a list. However, setting the list index does not change the text property...only setting the list property will do that.

Try setting the text property to the to the value of the list(listindex+1) property.

Or, setting the value of the list property to list(listindex+1)
