    Unanswered: Validation Rule Violations

    Everytime I run an update query I get validation rule violations. I don't remember actually setting any violation rules and I can't determine what change(s) I need to make. Does the SQL code tip anyone off on potential problems?

    Thanks in advance.

    UPDATE [Hazel's QDs]

    SET [Hazel's QDs].QD0 = Null, [Hazel's QDs].QD1 = Mid([Hazel’s QDs].[QD1],5) & Chr(60) & "B" & Chr(62) & "ea" & Chr(60) & Chr(47) & "B" & Chr(62), [Hazel's QDs].QDP0 = Null, [Hazel's QDs].QDP1 = Mid([Hazel’s QDs].[QDP1],5)

    WHERE ((([Hazel's QDs].SKUID) Like "05-301*" And ([Hazel's QDs].SKUID) Not Like "*-000" And ([Hazel's QDs].SKUID) Not Like "*-BS" And ([Hazel's QDs].SKUID) Not Like "*-00"));

    Are you certain that both the "QDO" and "QDPO" fields allow null values?

    You should also check to see if QDP1 allows Zero Length strings, in case an empty string is returned by the Mid function.

    Thanks all. I did eventually realize that not allowing zero-length fields is a default setting. I changed it to allow null fields and all works.

    Thanks again.
