Exclamation Unanswered: Problems with Memo Fields in db2 by query in delphi

    Hi,
I have a problem with a query in Delphi 7, when i do an update in a memo field of the DB2 database some caracters are puting in the final of the string. For example:
UPDATE TABLE SET MEMOFIELD = :MEMOFIELD WHERE ID = :ID
    :MEMOFIELD = 'TEXT'
    :ID = 10
The result in the DB2 is TEXT iiisskddä§.
This only happen with DB2 database, I tested with SQL, ORACLE8I and ORACLE9i and any of this databases update trash caracters.

    Thank's

Is MEMOFIELD a column in your table or is it some special function?

Sorry. I still do not understand what you mean.

To the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as "memofield" in DB2 unless it is a column name you assign in a table you create. There may an equivilent funciton in DB2 if you explain what it does.

Check the SQL Reference Vol 1 and 2 for details on DB2 syntax.

In the DB2 the field is VarChar, and when I execute that query the result in the database is whith some trash caracters.
