Angry Unanswered: MySQL linked tables - Access duplicating records

    Hi,

I have a MySQL 4.0.20 db running on a Mandrake Linux box, I am designing a database using phpMyAdmin and I want to build a front end with Access XP. I also installed MyODBC 3.51.9, because I had several problems with the 3.51.10 version.

I managed to connect my front end to MySQL using linked tables via ODBC. I have a form that has two subforms related. Whenever I modify any record of any of the subforms, all records in the subform change their values to the same as the latest updated record. There are no code or events yet.

    Ex.

    There is 1 record:
    AAAA BBBB CCCC

If I add a new record with
    DDDD EEEE FFFF

    I get
    DDDD EEEE FFFF
    DDDD EEEE FFFF

FYI, fixed it using a TIMESTAMP field.

    TimeStamp

The timestamp field also fixes problems when you have field types such as: float or memo (text) in the table.
