    what i want is a form to have a list of these files so the user can choose which one to play the file within Access as a tutorial section...

    Yes it can be done, and is not hard to do.

    Create a new table and call it tblVideo , With 3 fields videoID (autonumber - PK) , videoPath (text), videoDescription (text)

    In the table enter the path for a video in the videoPath field (e.g C:\MyVideo\Test.avi), Enter a description in the videoDescription field.

    Create a form (Single Form) and insert ActiveX Control Windows Media Player0 , you do this by using toolbox / more controls /Windows Media Player. Set Navigation button, Record selection, Dividing Lines, Scroll bars all to No.

    On the form put a combo box and call it cboVideoSelect , for its row source create a query and add the tblVideo all 3 fields. Set the Column count to 3 , Column Widths to 0;0;1.5" , Column Width 1.5"

    Now on your form (below the media player) put a text box call it txtDescription.

    In the after Update of you combo box put the following code:

    Code:
    Private Sub cboVideoSelect_AfterUpdate()
    Me.WindowsMediaPlayer0.URL = cboVideoSelect.Column(1)
    Me.txtDescription = Me.cboVideoSelect.Column(2)
    End Sub

    If you have any problems post back. By the way this will work for audio as well.
