Unanswered: Reading XML Files from Oracle

I have an XML file which contains thousands of records(equivalent to thousands of rows in a table data), as a source.

Now I have to read that XML file content from Oracle9i and store each record in a table.

Can any body suggest how to approach(how to write stored procedure) or any links.

We can also do this process through JAVA. One request, which is the best one, on Performance wise.

    Thanking in Advance.

Oracle's XML parsing is excellent. You will use the dbms_xmlparser package for it.

Here's a good example of how to do it. We used this at my last job to parse a ton of stuff.
