Unanswered: How to Execute a Java Servlet from Database Trigger

    Hi All,
I have one Servlet coded in Java i.e. class file and is deployed on my Middle-Tier. The Middle Tier is Ora9iAS 9.0.2.3 R-2.

I am able to acess that Servlet via browser & servlet is meant to execute few things and does not return anything on browser i.e. no HTML page etc. And i need to execute that Servlet based on a Event and that event is: A record being Inserted in a Database Table.

So, it is possible i can code in some-way to execute a Java Servlet from Database Trigger. The Database is Oracle9i R-2 9.2.0.4. Or, is there any third party utility available so that it can be achieved.

Thanks for ur attention & help.

    use UTL_HTTP
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
