    Unanswered: Probs with CSV file

I am using DoCmd.TransferText to create a CSV file. However, I need the output dates to be formatted as dd/mm/yy. I have the format of the dates in my table as 'dd/mm/yy' (I actually have the format field in table design view set to 'dd/mm/yy'), but the DoCmd.TransferText command seems to be ignoring this, and is placing the time next to each date. There doesn't seem to be anything to change this in the Advanced options when exporting a table to a CSV file (I thought I might have to create an Export template). Anyone with any ideas?

You could use a query as your export instead of a table. Then you could format that date field using

    Format([datefield],"mm/dd/yy")

Good idea, I'll give it a go when I'm back at work on Monday. Cheers.
