    Cool

What version of Oracle? Which OS?
Do you have these 'records' in a flat file? On what format?
On what do you want to base this 'INSERT' script?

Is this also dealing with the prior post that you have dealing with data in 2 separate databases where you are trying to use dblinks ?

    Insert into tablename (col1, col2, ...) values (val1, val2, ...)
    or
    Insert into tablename (col1, col2, ...) select col1, col2, ...from other table
    or
insert into tablename select * From othertablename (if they are identical)

Is this a one time thing or multiple times ???

In the prior post, you were reluctant to use the idea of exp/imp for a
    single table ???
