    Hello,

Also provide the ISAM error. Normally it happens when the table/record is locked.

    Hi,

Please, run SET ISOLATION TO DIRTY READ, then run sql.

It means you cannot access the data. The ISAM error code will tell you why. In the best cases it will be because of other user/processes locking it (use set islation modes, or set lock mode to wait n, but read about them!), and in the worst cases this error could even mean corruption.

So check the ISAM error and act accordingly.

Could not position within a file via an index

    Hi guys,
I had the same problem (243: Couldn't not position within a table(table name)) first. then I changed my isolation level to "READ_UNCOMMITTED", but now I got stuck on the error 245. when i looked at the lock logs, the other process was getting IX,X table/page/row locks on the table my process was trying to access, plus the X locks on the primary key and foreign keys.
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks very much!
    Zz
