Unanswered: How to conver databse from 97 to access 2000

I have a datebase that needs to be convert from access 97 to access 2000. I am not sure, if this is right but I opened my access2000 and then I opened the databse 97 give it different name. Now, how would i know that it is been converted to 2000? I checked to see my Help on the bar but even older version access 97 says Microsoft Access 2000. ???
    Thanks!

    What i would do is

open the 97 version and do a full complie (just make shore there are no bugs)

then open it in 2000 and use the conver tool and make it with 00 at the end
    eventSystem.mdb

    eventSystem00.mdb
    hope this help

    See clear as mud
