Well in Oracle you can reorg a table using different methods

For situations where you dont want downtime
http://www.orafaq.com/articles/archives/2003_08.htm (goto the On-line Table Reorganization and Redefinition bit)

    For indexes only
alter index ... rebuild (can do this online)

For tables in an offline situation
alter table ... move (you have to rebuild all indexes on the table afterwards though)

You can also use 'create table as...' or imp / exp utilities.

As with all things Oracle there are numerous extra clauses which can help improve performance or availability etc.

Why do you think you need to reorganize the table? If it is created properly
in the first place, you shouldn't have to do much with it (at least not very often). To go along with AlanP's suggestions, if you have chained rows that are becoming an issue, then you don't reorganize the table, you move the chained rows out and reinsert them (exp/imp will also take care of this, but
I've found delete / reinsert works well also)
