    Unanswered: Symbol

    Hi:

    In VB Code,

if ([Vendor Name] <> [VN]) then

    End if

<> symbol doesn't work. What symbol is for NOT Equal string?

    Thanks.

Yes, but strings (such as VN) have to be enclosed here, as in most languages, within double quotes! If [Vendor Name] is a valid control name, then

If [Vendor Name] <> "VN" then
    ...your code goes here
    End if

should work. BTW, you only really to use square brackets if your control name has spaces in it. Preferred practice sez never have spaces in control names, unless you're redoing an app or importing data where this was done.
    Hope this helps!

The problem with making anything foolproof...is that fools are so darn ingenious!
