    Unanswered: Using SQL in Crystal

I have a question regarding how I can modify the original SQL statement
that I use when I drop in tables within Crystal reports.

I basically want to use some advanced SQL with nested and hierarchical queries instead of relying on doing the programming within Crystal reports, which can be quite a long and ardous process.

    Please help.

    SQL in Crystal

From V9 onwards you can use freehand SQL as you source. These are called SQL Command objects and can be fully parameterized.

Prior to that you could use a Crystal Query (separate interface for the preparation of the query) for much the same effect.

Alternatively you can base your report off DB views or stored procedures.
