Read about BLOBs. There is a datatype called IMAGE that can store this type of data.

    Files in MS SQL

    Hello,

I'm also interested in storing files in SQL tables. With pgsql is amazingly easy, but I'm strugling with MS SQL. I've found something but I'm not sue if it's the best method:

maybe you will find that useful.

My question is: Does MS SQL provide a procedure that simplifies this process? (convert a file to binary.. etc..)

You're still looking at BLOBS, and the image datatype. The image datatype stores binary images (or files). ADO and ADO.NET provide utilities to store and retrieve the binary objects in your database. Maybe this will help.
