    Unanswered: Refreshing records on a continuous form

    I have a continuous form that is part of an Access Project(SQL Server). The underlying datasource for the form is a View.

    New records are created by clicking a new button on the continuous form, another form is launched, information filled in and the record is saved. I would like the records on the continuous form to be refreshed so that new records will be displayed...preferrably as soon as possible after the form that created the new record is closed.

    I have tried variations on DoCmd.Requery but none seem to work. Can anyone recommend a good method that will accomplish this?
    Thanks,
    Bill

    You'll have to query the database again AND THEN Requery the form ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

    Something Like this

    You need something like this:

    Code:
     SQLstr = "SELECT * FROM mytable;"
     Me.Rowsource = SQLstr
     Me.Requery
    or

    Code:
     SQLstr = "SELECT * FROM mytable;"
      Me.Recordsource = SQLstr
      Me.Requery
    One of these will work when you add it to either a refresh procedure (button) or Form_Load

    Thanks for the responses...the method below worked fine. Is there any event that might work better than others?

    I put the requery on the Activate event and it worked fine. Is there a better one?
    Thanks,
    Bill
