>Implements and administers financial database solutions within a variety of computing environments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter able to perform administrative tasks independently, alone or in a team. Also needed are good presentation and written communication skills.
>Technical Requirements:
>A minimum of five to seven years experience demonstrating the ability to perform Oracle database administration tasks including: warehousing, interfacing, data cleaning and conversion, installation, configuration, replication, hot/cold backup and restoration, support and maintenance.
>In addition to the above tasks, the qualified DBA:
>·Is capable of running a medium volume data warehouse environment
>·Is familiar with the use of Oracle specific tools and utilities
>·Is experienced with space management, configuration, and performance tuning.
>·Has a solid understanding of SQL, and Oracle database objects
>·Can write and run automated SQL, and interface programs
>·Can install and maintain multiple or distributed databases
>·Can design and implement all facets of backups and recovery
>·Can set up Oracle clients and network services.
>·Will have experience with Oracle Forms and Reports (a plus)
>Databases Preferred: Oracle
>Languages Preferred: SQL, PL/SQL, Visual Basic, Java
>Preferred Business Experience:
>Familiarity with federal accounting systems
>Experience with Oracle Financials interface
