Unanswered: How can I remove the OK in the msgbox

    Hi:

    In VB:

    I do this msgbox "processing"

but, it shows the OK button

How can I show "Stop" button replace the "OK", and also that Stop button can stop running. How can I edit it?

    Thanks.

You can't. You can however make a form that mimics the messagebox dialog with your custome buttons and actions in it ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

What about the vbAbort function? Will that work as a substitute for "Stop"?

I would just create a small a please wait form

    processing .........

    and just do
    DoCmd.OpenForm "frmmess", acNormal, , , , acDialog
    ........
    DoCmd.Close acForm, "Frmmess"
    hope this help
