    Unanswered: how to add and edit the record in the subform

    I create a subform, but why i can't edit, and add new record. It only retrieve the value . Can anybody help me. Thanks.

    More than likely, you have based the subform on a query that is not edittable. In order to add/edit the data in the subform, you will have to be able to add/edit the data in the query. Typically a query is read only (not updateable) because you have data from two or more tables in the query and Access is not sure how to update the records. You can help clear up confusion by setting up Relationships.
