In PL/SQL when you raise an exception, how can you get the calling routine to propagate the error upwards?
I have a korn shell script which is calling a SQL*plus procedure, and I want to stop processing when an exception is raised.
If you use no EXCEPTION HANDLER, then the error will propogate to the calling routine, same as if you include an ERROR HANDLER with WHEN OTHERS. If you're trying to get the Korn shell program to fail also, look into WHENEVER SQLERROR.
