Unanswered: SQLPLUS environment driving me mad!!!

    Hello,

can anyone help? I am trying to stop the results of my queries being output to the screen in sqlplus. I have tried all of the following in various combinations but nothing works! The annoying thing is I used to do this all the time and it worked but now it does not! Or I have forgotten how, I'm not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks!!!

    set space 0
    set feedback off
    set verify off
    set termout off / on
    set heading off
    set serveroutput off / on
    set echo off
    set show off
    set trim off
    set concat on

    Cool

SQLPLUS output must "go" somewhere, therefore you need to spool it:
    Code:
set echo off term off ver off feed off trims on
    spo /tmp/results
    @MyScript

    SQLPLUS invokation

Have you tried the -s option when entering sqlplus i.e

    sqlplus -s user/password

you would still need some of your 'set'ting as well - but I'll leave you to choose those:

note: set termout off only works when you are not running sqlplus interactively ie:

    sqlplus -s user/password@sid @somescript.sql
