    Unanswered: Printing Output to Notepad from SQLPLUS

    I am trying to print out a report where I can see all of the fields in my SQL statement so that it is on one line of a notepad file. My code is below and in SQLPlus all fields are on one line. However, when I look at my output file that I want to open up in notepad, it is not all on one line. Is there a setting that I am not aware of.

    Thanks.

    spool on ;
    set trims on ;
    set lin 8000 ;
    Spool on ;
    spool d:\test.out
    Select * From ALCA WHERE ROWNUM < 2 ;
    set lin 512 trims on ;
    Spool off ;

    Thumbs down

    This is not an SQL*Plus error.
    Maybe you should learn how to use NOTEPAD!

    Notepad's Format/Word Wrap does not work!

    Cool

    Still not SQL*Plus problem, try wordpad instead.

    ... and, perhaps, set paper orientation to landscape instead of portrait.

    Cool

    Or, maybe a linesize of 4000 is too small...
