Hi guys,

Here's a link http://www.dcp.com.ar/articulos/art_adoclases.htm for those who do not know what I am talking about but would like to learn more.

So here's my problem: we have an old C++ program that uses the ADO classes written by Carlos Antollini. The program compares two different databases and do the appropriate modifications if they are different. It works like a charm! The * * is that it compares two Access databases. The goal now is to compare two SQL Server. Really what we want, is just to switch DBMS with minimal modifications to the code.

Now basically, when substituting a SQL Server database for an Access, it fails to connect. It returns the following error: "Data source name not found and no default driver specified". Here's the connection string I use: "Provider=MSDASQL;Driver={SQL Server};Trusted_Connection=Yes;Data Source=local;Initial Catalog=database". I think I have tried something like 10 possibility with this connection string.

Anyone had a similar problem, any input is welcome on how to fix it.
