Unanswered: Using list box selection in a nested query
I need help with the following. I have one table with product_name, Product_class and product_code. The product_name if always populated but the product_class and product_code has nulls in them.
I have to build a form where the user selects one product_name from a drop-down list box and then it looks at the product_code first and if it is populated, shows a list of all other products that have the same product_code plus a couple other fields. In case the product_code is null, then it has to look up at the product_class field and then give a list of products that have the same product_class plus a couple other fields.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried creating a list box which is bound to the base table's field - product_name.
but how do i go about associating the user's choice of a product_name with the base table and look up at the product_code columb first and get the details and if it is null, look up at the product_class and get the details.
