Post Unanswered: How can I link tables inside the same DB?

I currently have 2 tables in my database. I would like to do the following:

When I add a new record to my primary table, I would like a record in the other table to be automatically created with the same key. Does anyone know how to do this in access?

    Thanks.

It doesn't happen automatically ... You have to do it. A macro or VBA code can get it done for you ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

Personally I'd go down the VBA rout.
attach some code to the after update event. you will need some method to separate edits from inserts, you will also need to consider how you handle deletes.

Just a daft question though why do you need to duplicate the information in a second table?

Yes, that is also my question. It would definitely seem to go against general db design and usage principles.
