    Unanswered: logging trigger messages to a text file

    I have several triggers....i.e

    create or replace trigger age_restriction
    Before insert on client
    For each row
    Declare
    Begin
    if
    ( add_months(:new.age,12*16) >= trunc(sysdate) )
    THEN
    Raise_application_error(-20100,'registration not allowed');
    end if;
    end age_restriction;

    How can I log my trigger function messages 'registration not allowed' to a text file?

    You can use the Oracle supplied UTL_FILE package.

    Download AlligatorSQL and use adaptor script

    Hello,

    please download the alligatorsql at http://www.alligatorsql.com and start the adaptor template "spool text in a file with UTL_FILE" and you get a complete PL/SQL source code for writing into a textfile with PL/SQL.

    Best regards
