Question Unanswered: compare the two sybase databases

We need to compare each and every table on two different servers for data differences and then generate a report of incosistent data rows for each table.

Does anyone know of a utility which can be used to do this?

You can use a utility called rs_subcmp that is part of the replication server distribution.

The rs_subcmp is self contained and does not require rep server to run it. It can be run against any databases that "are" or "are not" part of a replication environment.

Check the rep server guide for syntax etc...

Yes, there is. I use it all the time. It is called SQL Effects Clarity. You can grab a copy from http://www.sqleffects.com

Make sure you get the one for your database.

    Utility for comparing databases

I use DBArtisan Change Manager (from Embarcadero Technologies) to compare the objects in different databases. You can compare live databases or scripts that were previously generated.
