Unanswered: Error When Accessing Textbox OldValue

I am using Access2002 and DAO. I have a form with several textboxes displaying membership details. I wish to detect when the values in any of several of the textboxes change by comparing the textbox.Value with the textbox.OldValue. The textboxes are all bound to different fields and are broadly similar.

One of the textboxes has a problem however in that when I attempt to access the .OldValue property I get Error 3251 - Operation is not supported for this type of object. When I look at the textbox object in the Locals Window, the OldValue parameter is marked <Restricted Error>. It is supposed to be similar to all the other textboxes that do work. What's going on? Can anyone suggest the reason for this behaviour please?

The only thing I can think of: Is this particular textbox an unbound control? .OldValue only works for bound controls.

Perhaps you could leverage the beforeupdate and afterupdate events of the form itself to capture the values you're interested in.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
