    Unanswered: exp-00028

    Hello,

    For some reason I am getting the exp-00028 failed to open sysconfig2.log for write error.

    I am calling this par file and it has read/write access.


    FILE=./opt/app/wlgrad/oracle/oradata/SPARE/backupdaily/sysconfig_2.dmp
    LOG=./home/oracle/backup/sysconfig2.log
    DIRECT=Y
    GRANTS=Y
    INDEXES=Y
    TRIGGERS=Y
    CONSTRAINTS=Y
    TABLES=CDRCALLTYPES,CDRCALLTYPESETUP,CDRFIELDSPEC, CDRFIELDVALXLAT,CDRHOLIDAYS

    I SUSPECT IT IS BECAUSE OF THE DOT (.) BEFORE THE FILE NAMES -- REMOVE THEM.

    i did and it still gave me the error.
    i am running on a hp-ux system.

    What are the permissions on the /home/oracle/backup directory and are you running as a user that owns the directory or belongs to the same group? You can find out the permission on the directory by typing

    ls -lad /home/oracle/backup

    Also check that the /home/oracle/backup/sysconfig2.log file either already exists and has diferent permissions or was created by another user.
