    Unanswered: Spool command

I have a unix script that calls a SQL script. I want the unix script to begin a logfile and then log everything it does, but I also want the SQL logfile to be written to the same file as the Unix script. Is this possible?

As I understand it, the spool command cannot append to an existing file.

Try this in your Unix script:
    sqlplus <uid>/<pw> @MyScript.sql >>$LogFile
    ### Or ###
    sqlplus <uid>/<pw> @MyScript.sql | tee -a $LogFile

The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it. -- Chinese proverb
