Question Unanswered: PHP5 support for MySQL

Anybody can help me configure PHP to support MySQL.

I already got the instructions and modify the php.ini file. After solving the "Fatal Error : Call to undefined function mysql_connect()" error. Another error appears which state "Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_create_db()".

What should I do to use all the MySQL function under PHP. Please help me guys.
    Thank you in advance.

Double check and make sure the php.ini is configured correctly. Be aware of your version of php AND MySQL. Some functions don't work with all versions.

Try creating the database using a SQL statement and see if that works.

    Thanks for your help, but.

I've double checked the php.ini, and tried to use SQL and mysql_query, but the message "No database selected" appears.

If you're getting that error, then everything is installed correctly, but you are using the methods wrong. You must connect to the server, then select a database, and then you may run your query. Check the docs for more info.

    Hope that helps.
