Question Unanswered: find current open form with query ore report.

    Hello everybody,

I am really new with access 2003 and trying to find my way. I hope someone can help me.
I need to get the "currently opened form" information in a query ore report to be used in a macro.

I want to send the info in a mail with my macro.
The only result I have had thus far is that all the forms are send.
any help is very much appreciated.

    Lightbulb In detail.

    I have 2 tables. : systems, and repair/exit.
    the forms I have Are:
    -Add new items
    -change items
    -repair
    -exit

I have one 'count' query that communicates with a report for statistics. that works fine.
the test reports I made keep retrieving all repair records in repair table

I made on macro that needs to mail changed and repair items to an Email address.
The macro needs a query ore report to make a selection what to mail.

I need a query ore report to get the information from the my 'change items' ore 'repair' form when its filed out.

all transactions are one form at a time. In the future I want to transfer everything to A SQL server. That way I can do multiple mutations at a time from different locations.

    thanks you from reading

    Still a little hazy...

What is the relationship between your form and the underlying tables? Are you mailing the results of a filtered query? What is the query filtered on? What relationship to this filter does the current information on the form have? Is the form bound to a recordset?

    Not enough info...
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

Red face hope this is better

the forms are purely for adding and changing data. there is no link between the systems and repair/exit tables. no need. in the system table is filed with all the items i have and had in my storage. the Items that left have a exit number and are filtered out when I do a count on what I have.
In my startup form I can search for items, serial numbers and exit numbers.
When I have a change I search for the items number...form opens...I add the change number and save the record.
    I added some pictures.
Some of it is in Dutch but I think you'll get the idea
