    Unanswered: Backup File Purge

    DB2 V8.2
    RH Linux V ?

We have a scheduled job that backs up the database on a nightly bases. We only want to keep 1 week worth of backup files at any given day. How can we purge the backup files that are older than 1 week ? Is there a way to do it from DB2 ?. I am not too familiar with the Linux OS (Although I can get around it with most of DB2 stuff). Can it be done through Linux ?. Is it possible to automate the process ?

    Thanks for any help.

You can write a PERL or shell script, and schedule it through cron. Or through the db2 scheduling stuff in the task center.
