    Unanswered: dd/mm only

Hi y'all. I'm hoping you can help me.

I am trying to make a directory, and I would like the date to show as dd/mm only (you know how older people don't like their age shown). I've gone through this website and found one thread that said it wasn't possible, but I just can't believe that! No matter what format or input mask I try it always just adds 2005 at the end. I also tried to just take out the mask, and it still didn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try pulling that instead of just yourDate in your query. Ie:

    SELECT someField, month(yourDate) & "/" & day(yourDate) AS FormattedDate
    FROM yourTable
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

What are you trying to do? Add a textbox for user entry? Or display only part of a given date?

If you are trying to use it for data entry then you will probably need to textboxes.

    Otherwise, Teddy's solution will work.
